 Appleby in the News

Appleby Places 1st in Noritz ?Best of the Best?nbsp;

Noritz recently ran a contest to award the best example of a Noritz installation and award the winner with a new free Noritz water heater.

Noritz congratulates Chuck Appleby for his excellent job entry that shows him to be
the ?Best of the Best?when installing a Noritz tankless water heater and a Noritz wall hung boiler. This job was done in his home and it had some unique reasons for the choice of Noritz.

Founder chanel replica founded the Chanel brand in Paris, France in 1913. replica gucci wide range of products, including clothing, jewelry and accessories, cosmetics, perfume, each product is famous, especially her hermes replica and replica bags . Chanel is a famous brand with more than 80 years of experience. Chanel fashion always has elegant, simple and exquisite style. She is good at breaking through the tradition. She successfully pushed the fake bags of “Five Flowers” to simple and comfortable in the 1940s. This is perhaps the earliest modern casual wear.

First is that the house was in a flood plane and needed something that would not be placed in the basement so Chuck chose Noritz and installed them in the attic. Then he customized the attic (mechanical room) to hold and protect the Noritz product and the domestic water system and heating system.

Chuck Appleby noted some of the challenges he faced: ?I recently faced a difficult renovation project in a flood prone area of our community. Since the basement was out of the question and closet space was limited, I focused my thoughts into the
attic. I built a small insulated room in the corner of my attic allowing plenty of room for storage later on.?nbsp;

Chuck added: ?The next dilemma I faced, was finding the right water heater and boiler for this space. I didn?t want all that storage of water up there so I installed the Noritz tankless water heater. That?s when I found out about the new boiler, which uses the same concentric vent option I needed for such an installation. I chose these concealed combustion appliances so I didn?t have to worry about combustion air and CO issues. I even backed this up with a smoke/co detector in this room.?/font>

Since space was limited on piping, Chuck noted ?I was able to custom locate all the special devices such as primary pump and the low water cut off. Special consideration to hydronic pump and control wiring was a cinch. It was just that easy. Thanks again Noritz, for your valuable technical time and field technical support.?/font>

The 2nd place finish went to Pete Donnelly of Donnelly Heating Maintenance. Peter made the judging in this contest difficult with his installation of a Noritz boiler at a Habitat for Humanity home that he was working on. Pete used a Noritz boiler and a traditional indirect fired water heater to supply this home with warm comfortable heat and a tremendous supply of hot water.

This house is being built with the best materials and is being constructed to high standards to minimize energy consumption. The walls are foam filled and the design is made to give the occupants a low cost of living. Of course it would be Pete donating his time to help others and give something back to his community.

Peter noted that ?I was introduced to the project through the Danbury Chapter of the PHCC. The project manager spoke at our meeting and asked for volunteers for the heating and plumbing systems. This job is around the corner from my shop. This was a perfect fit for Donnelly Heating Maintenance.

The project consists of a high efficiency building using panelized super insulated construction. Peter said ?my goal was to use a high efficiency system to heat the house and hot water. The Noritz product was a perfect fit. I wanted the new owner to have a state of the art high efficiency heating system. This way the cost of operation would be minimal.?br> The third place spot went to George Fryer of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Long Island, NY. George found the perfect solution for a large house with many baths and a huge Jacuzzi, the single Noritz N-132M gives this job about 10GPM if there is 40 degree water entering the house and the water temp is set for 105 degrees. The woman of the house is ecstatic with having more hot water than she knows what to do with.
